Spring Tea Party

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of decorating our church for a little tea party. My mom was here for a visit and lent her creative hand. Of course I forgot my camera and don't have any photos of the actual party but a couple of before shots.
These princess' were absolutely adorable in their beautiful gowns. They feasted on a variety of dainty treats; tea sandwiches, dip sparkly pretzel rods, yummy cookiesWe made the cookies from a fabulous sugar cookie receipe, ordered the tiara cut out from ebay. We also made cute little tea pots and cups.
We made these cute little topiary trees that I found at Joanne Fabrics for $.98. Painted little flower pots added some glitter and my floral designer mom added the flowers and ribbon.
The tea pot was from goodwill for $1.99, dollar store flowers.

And when I came home I was surprised by yet another kid milestone....first lost tooth!

Etsy Unite for The Freeman Family

Last night I posted a bit on this wonderful family. As I continued to think and pray for them I felt that I needed to do more for them.
Cyrena from Simply Chic Bebe & I are in the process of organizing Etsy sellers interested in joining together to support this family. If you feel lead, please let me know as I'm compiling a list of sellers interested. I'll let you know how we can support them more specifically through our shops.

Kayleigh' s Story

Recently I came across this blog about a one pound miracle named Kayleigh.
You can read more about this sweet blessing here at http://kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com/
Unfortunately this adorable baby has taken a unexpected turn and her family is facing life without her. My heart truly aches for them, I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through. I am moved by their constant, unshakable faith. If you have a moment please read today's post.

Hippity Hop

I finally made the bunny cake, I was determined after seeing a photo in a old Martha Stewart's magazine to tackle this cute little cake. Although it looks a bit less professional than the photo it was fun to make and fairly easy. The kids loved it, so as long as it passes their approval I'm happy too!
Welcome Spring! If you can believe it as I look out my window the snow is falling! Not exactly spring around here!

American Girl Sweetness

This was such a special memorable weekend for me! My parents are here for a visit from Canada. I planned a special little outing for the girls, we went down to Chicago for a memorable visit to the American girl cafe/store. The girls had some fun shopping and checking out the fantastic shops drooling over designer handbags and jewelry that I will never buy, even if I had the extra cash!!
The boys went to a crazy little sandwich shop featured on the food network while the girls dinned out a American girl for tea.

The cafe is decorated in fushia ,black & white zebra type prints.

Each little girl can dine with their very own doll decked out with a chair that attaches to the table. Along with their mini tea cup and saucer. ADORABLE

Sweet Desserts
This was such a delightful day spent with two of my very favorite people!

Decorating with Glass Domes/Cloches

My new obsession, well actually I've always loved these timeless domes just never owned one!

better homes & gachristmas cloche jarsrden

They are a fabulous addition to your decor. The uses are endless, create a floral or plant arrangement underneath. Create a seasonal display by placing something that represents the current season.

This would be adorable for Christmas!

I purchased mine from Pier One for $ 20 which I thought was a great deal. You can also find them on ebay, garage sales online shops. I'll post my decorated cloche in the next few days. Check back soon for a series of kids room decorating ideas!
